Age UK is the new force combining Age Concern England and Help the Aged, which was launched on 19th April 2010 - you may have seen the TV adverts with Brian Cox, Sir Iain McKellen and Eleanor Bron.
As each Age Concern in the country is a separate independent charity, the Trustees of each will make their own decision whether to become affiliated to the new organisation and to adopt the Age UK brand.
The Trustees of Age Concern Essex are giving careful consideration to the benefits and obligations of becoming what is known as a Brand Partner, and will make their decision once all their questions have been answered and they can be sure that Age UK Essex will benefit people in later life in Essex.
Whatever the decision, we will continue to provide our range of services, both countywide and locally.
