Essay & Poetry Winners

Once again the Competition generated a lot of interest providing a wealth of material for the Essex Record Office. The standard of writing was excellent and the judges had extremely difficult decisions to make. Lord Petre, Lord Lieutenant of Essex, presented the winners with their prizes during the Presentation Afternoon at Ingatestone Hall on 14th May 2010. Details of next year's competition will automatically be sent to this year's contributors in October but should you know of anyone who did not enter this year but would like to receive details please contact the office on 01245 346106 and a copy of the rules and arrangements and entry form will be sent to them or download them from this web site. A booklet of all the winning entries has being produced and is on sale at the County Office, 112 Springfield Road, Chelmsford, CM2 6LF Tel: 01245 346106. The price will be £5.00 + 50p to help with the cost of postage.
