ADVOCACY
The aim of the Advocacy Service is to help older people make their views and wishes known clearly. The service is free and independent.
Understanding
You are important, and so is what you want to do and say.
Sometimes it is hard to make people understand your point of view. This situation is frustrating for people of any age. It is particularly difficult for older people when they may have decisions to make about their future.
Helping
If you find yourself in this situation and you want to talk to an independent person confidentially, our Advocacy Service can help.
Supporting: the Co-ordinator will help by
Listening to you
Obtaining information and helping you to understand it
Helping you to speak up for yourself or speaking for you if necessary
